New opportunity:
University of Alberta
Post Graduate Dental Education (PGDE), Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) Fellowship in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery
Advanced Orthognathic Surgery
Every year the Calgary section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery accepts one surgical fellow at advanced training in orthognathic surgery.
This year long fellowship will provide candidates with the necessary knowledge for the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with congenital and acquired dentofacial deformities and maxillofacial disorders. This program aims to create an evidence-based hands-on learning environment related to oral maxillofacial surgical care. The fellow will gain extensive exposure to the consultation, diagnostic and treatment planning processes, and surgical correction of dentofacial deformities, maxillofacial pathology, and temporomandibular joint disorders. Approximately 250 orthognathic surgeries are performed by our teaching faculty per year, with a significant volume of reconstruction, total joint replacement and full arch implant rehabilitation.
Please forward your curriculum vitae, letter of intent, and three letters of recommendation to the contact information below.
